元器件交易网讯  4月4日消息，据业内人士透露，面板厂商2014年4月份已接到3G手机面板订单，但由于中国对4G的需求增加，今年第二季的订单很令人悲观。

　　手机厂商和电信运营商预计将在2014年推广4G，于是他们清理库存并希望在第3季度将3G产品替换为4G的，这导致面板厂商3G订单减少。而手机制造商可能会在其他新兴市场更积极推广4G，因此这种情形可能持续到年底。

　　Panel makers have order visibility for handset panels for 3G handsets through April 2014 but are pessimistic the orders will fade out through the second quarter of the year as demand for 4G units in markets such as China is expected to increase, according to industry sources.

　　Handset vendors and telecom providers are expected to push 4G units in 2014, which is causing handset vendors to clear out inventories in the hope that older products will be replaced by newer ones by the third quarter, the sources said.

　　As vendors clear out inventories, panel makers are seeing declining orders for 3G units, which may continue throughout the year as handset vendors may push 4G units more aggressively in other emerging markets as well, the sources added.

　　Meanwhile, the sources noted that smartphone vendors are increasingly looking to cheaper supply chain solutions as a means to bump up their competitiveness in the market.
