元器件交易网讯  4月30日消息，据外媒报道，三星电子于4月29日公布，其半导体系统LSI 14纳米工艺将在年底开始量产。

　　三星电子预计半导体系统LSI 14纳米工艺将成为公司中长期增长的动力。

　　该公司当天还举行了第一季度财报电话会议。在会议中，三星官员称，“14纳米工艺对我们销量和利润的贡献在明年上半年就可以显现了。”

　　三星电子提出的14纳米工艺是指系统LSI 14纳米FinFET工艺，它可以应用于多个领域，包括智能手机的应用处理器、数码相机的图像传感器和电视屏幕驱动芯片等。

　　Samsung Electronics expects the semiconductor system LSI 14-nm process to serve as a momentum to promote its mid- and long-term growth. The company held a conference call on the day to present its first-quarter financial results.

　　During the conference call, a high-ranking official said, “The contribution of the 14-nm process to our sales and profits will become visible within the first half of next year.”

　　The 14-nm process, mentioned by Samsung Electronics, refers to the system LSI 14-nm FinFET process which is known to have been completed within the first quarter of this year. System LSI is applied in various areas, including the application processor which plays a microprocessor role for smartphones, image sensors for digital cameras, and driver chips for TV displays.
