元器件交易网讯 4月11日消息，中兴于4月10日晚发布了第一季度业绩预告。预告显示，中兴第一季度将实现净盈利约为4.25亿-6.37亿元，同比增长107.32%-210.74%；扣除非经常性损益的净利润将超过人民币5.83亿元。对此，华尔街日报发文分析称，在拒绝海外低利润合同后，中兴第一季度利润实现了翻番。

　　Sometimes it pays to say “no” to business opportunities.

　　That’s what ZTE, a Chinese supplier of telecommunications equipment, found recently. ZTE said Thursday it expects its first-quarter profit to at least double from the previous year, after it turned down low-margin business contracts abroad that wouldn’t contribute to its bottom line.

　　ZTE, which is listed on the Hong Kong stock exchange, was giving a preview of its earnings for the quarter ended March 31. It is scheduled to release actual earnings April 17.

　　ZTE, which provides carriers with networking gear such as routers and switches, last year became more selective about the types of projects it worked on after posting a hefty net loss in 2012. While its decision to cut back on low-margin contracts resulted in a decline in revenue in 2013, it helped the company swing to a full-year net profit.

　　That improvement in margins continued in the first quarter ended March 31, especially in its overseas contracts, ZTE said. The company, which also sells smartphones, said it expects its net profit for the quarter of between 425 million yuan ($68.4 million) and 637 million yuan, roughly double or triple the year-earlier profit of 205 million yuan.

　　ZTE also said that Chinese telecom carriers’ shift to faster fourth-generation mobile networks is creating more demand for its equipment.

　　Even so, has ZTE’s revenue, which last year was already less than a third than thanof larger Chinese rival Huawei Technologies, continued to shrink this year? ZTE hasn’t said yet.
